Bridalwear company Maggie Sottero Designs LLC has invested in a PLM system to improve its design and production processes and boost speed-to-market.

The company has selected Centric Software to provide its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution and implemented Centric's SMB solution for small to medium enterprises in seven weeks. The global bridal fashion brand is now looking forward to better visibility, speed-to-market and communication.

Established in 1997, the Utah-based firm is a family-owned business. The company has expanded operations to three labels - Maggie Sottero, Sottero and Midgley, and Rebecca Ingram - with authorised retailers in over 70 countries around the world. As operations have grown in recent years, the company has expanded and elevated its production management systems.

"The bridalwear industry is complex and ever-evolving—from keeping an eye on trends to the actual design process and, ultimately, launching a new collection to the public. We need continuous innovation in everything we do from the software we use to how we work with our supply chain in order to keep meeting the demands of today's consumer," says Tom Manning, president of Maggie Sottero. "Because Centric SMB is geared toward market speed and visibility, we will have a greater ability to track trends, capture consumer attention and boost sales."

Kary Burke, vice president of information technologies at Maggie Sottero adds: "From an IT perspective, we chose Centric's PLM solution because we knew it would improve our design and production processes by generating consistent data, repeatable processes and attention to details that will be used throughout the organisation. "We also appreciate the cloud- and subscription-based framework. Centric takes care of hosting which saves us effort and investment."
