Pacific Brands has invested in a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution to streamline its apparel design and sourcing processes.

The Enovia Apparel Accelerator PLM tool from Dassault Systèmes will help the company manage the flow of design information by improving collaboration between its design facilities and suppliers.

Pacific Brands, headquartered in Melbourne, Australia, supplies brands such as Berlei, Bonds, Clarks (children’s), Dunlop, Everlast, Hush Puppies, Mossimo and Slazenger to the Australasian retail marketplace.

Working with Concentric-Imag, a Dassault Systemes’ technology partner, the solution will centralise product design data globally so that Pacific Brands’ designers and suppliers can collaborate on the development and timely distribution of new product lines.

The tools “will help us migrate from a disparate business environment to a fully integrated product lifecycle platform which will promote great organisational collaboration and best practices,” says Tom Dalianis, general manager, Integrated Services, Pacific Brands.

“With this technology we will be able to deliver greater efficiency in the development of new products and lines, maximise cost savings in sourcing and leverage parallel processing to improve speed to market.”
