Centric Software has released the latest version of its product lifecycle management (PLM) solution, which focuses on scalability and performance of up to 10,000 users, decision making analytics and personalisation.

Version 6 provides "massive scaling with performance," Centric says, incorporating "groundbreaking" architectural innovations capable of managing 10,000-plus users and active data across multiple geographies with no degradation in speed or user experience

"All innovations to Centric PLM are driven by interactions with our customers," says Ron Watson, VP of products at Centric Software. "Our customer advisory board gives us insight into their strategic and operational challenges and, along with input from our customer innovation partners, we use this valuable feedback to guide our roadmap."

A 'slicer' feature analyses seasons or years' worth of information to answer questions about financial and supplier performance, costs or other queries requiring significant 'what-iffing' and number crunching. Changes have also been made to Centric's merchandise planning module, equipping users with analytics for roll-ups, drill-downs and split hierarchies.

A complete interface makeover offers new branding and personalisation options, dashboards with widgets and charts to digest information at a glance, and mass editing features to minimise clicks.

Other capabilities include a 'Rest API', which enables companies to leverage data by connecting with business systems such as ERP, DAM or other platforms.
