China's EIN Clothing props up product strategy with PLM

Chinese women's wear business Shenzhen EIN Clothing Co has selected Centric Software's product lifecycle management (PLM) platform to help shorten time to market and improve product quality.
The company, which designs, develops, manufacturers and sells its own exclusive brands EIN and PureTea, will deploy Centric 8 to enhance its product planning, design research and development, materials and fabric development processes.
"We hope to optimise our management with PLM and therefore be more competitive in the market," said EIN Clothing founder Ye Lin. "Our major concerns were about the design and development process: product planning, creative design, product R&D, and materials and fabrics development."
For product research and development, Centric will help EIN build a PLM design management platform and a standard mechanism for managing creative designs to improve productivity and cost-effectiveness.
A standardised library of materials and fabrics will allow the group to reliably manage vendors, maintain the consistency of materials and styles, and monitor development risks and delays in real time.
Lin added: "By using PLM as the backbone of our product strategy, we expect to manage our offering at an enterprise level and apply this platform to even more brands."
EIN, which stands for Elegance In Nature, operates over 300 stores in China.
