Dassault Systèmes is to buy an 84% controlling stake in Realtime Technology AG, the Munich-based provider of 3D visualisation software used by companies including Hugo Boss, Adidas and The North Face.

The deal includes the DeltaGen, PictureBook and POS Configurator solutions, as well as the Bunkspeed subsidiary.

"In today's experience economy, brands demand seamless interplay of 3D design, marketing and sales applications to create high-impact storytelling across all channels," said Monica Menghini, executive vice president, industry and marketing at Dassault Systèmes.

The 3D design and product lifecycle management (PLM) specialist says it also intends to launch a tender offer to purchase the remaining share capital in RTT for EUR40 per share.
