French fashion group American Vintage is to implement Centric Software's product lifecycle management (PLM) to streamline its processes.

American Vintage creates and markets on-trend women's wear, men's wear and accessories, and recorded revenues of EUR60m (US$77.3m) last year.

The Centric 8 PLM solution will replace American Vintage's extensive use of spreadsheets. Moving to PLM will help increase efficiency, reduce staff time spent on low-value data entry and administrative tasks, and reduce iterations for samples and prototypes. It will also will help formalise the phases of product development and clarify task assignments.

"The Centric 8 PLM will help ensure that we maintain alignment throughout the organisation without losing creativity," said company founder and CEO Michaël Azoulay.

Centric president and CEO Chris Groves added: "The Centric 8 PLM solution will be instrumental in helping American Vintage close the gap between product inception and product launch."
