Swedish fashion and sportswear brand J.Lindeberg has invested in a new product lifecycle management (PLM) solution to help better control product costs and enhance margins.

The company, which is based in Stockholm and has distribution in 900 stores across 37 countries, has selected Centric PLM to help it keep track of product information and speed up time to market.

"As our company is growing we are moving into the next generation of development, we have realised a need to improve and further develop our intelligence in the assortment planning and cost control processes," says Amelie Sernung, business developer and controller.

"The fashion industry is a fast paced environment and in order to drive performance, we identified a need to minimise the non-value adding activities as well as improve information sharing throughout all divisions at J.Lindeberg. By using Centric we will be able to collect and structure large amounts of information which will enable us to make sound decisions based on actual data and facts. "

J.Lindeberg teams will work with the full Centric PLM suite, including its mobile apps.

"J.Lindeberg are in a stage of digitalisation and we need to have partners and tools that support and help to drive the continuous development phase that we are in," adds IT director, Marcus Mellberg. "We are looking forward to having greater consistency in our data so that we can control product costs in a more effective way, speed up time to market and focus on business intelligence and innovation rather than administration. We also expect to be able to work more often on the right products to get a better hit rate in the market."
