More than 75 apparel brands and 30 software vendors are lined up to attend next week’s PI Apparel event in New York, with speakers including executives from Adidas, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Target, VF Corp, JJill, Macy’s and Maidenform.

Now in its third year and its first time in the US, PI Apparel (Product Innovation Apparel) brings together the fashion, apparel and footwear industry to discuss the challenges and opportunities offered by modern technology in the continuous improvement and streamlining of product lifecycles from cradle to grave.

Themes covered include wearable technology, PLM deployment and integration, 3D technology, and supply chain and planning.

There will be keynote sessions from Adidas on ‘Wearable technology and its evolution into broader fashion’; The Unseen on ‘Combining science and design to create a new world of materials’; as well as Khirma Eliazov and ‘The Shoe that Grows’.

Panel discussions are also planned, with sessions on: Why is Business Process Innovation Challenging & What Can be Done About It? How is 3D Technology Disrupting the Fashion/Apparel/Footwear World? And Beyond Product Development: Transforming Business Results with PLM.

Pre-arranged one-to-one networking meetings are also a key part of the event, with dedicated networking sessions across the two days.
