Pentland Brands, one of the world's largest sports, outdoor and fashion companies, has rolled out product lifecycle management (PLM) and supplier relationship management (SRM) systems across its Berghaus and Canterbury Brands.

With sales across 200 countries globally, and other brands including Speedo, Boxfresh, Ellesse, Kangaroos, Mitre, and Red or Dead, the implementation is a precursor to a wider deployment across its business.

The project with DeSL covered core processes such as line planning, critical path management, on-line tech packs, costing, supplier management and full Adobe Illustrator integration.

"The first project included both Canterbury and Berghaus brands and we're using this as the model for all our other brands," explains John Roberts, head of operational excellence at Pentland.

"The implementation went very smoothly…we're now in the process of implementing the rest of our brands and are taking advantage of DeSL's latest advances such as 3D tech packs."
