Italian fashion retailer OVS is restructuring its entire product development process with the help of Lectra's product and collection lifecycle management solution.

OVS sells men's, women's and kids' wear across more than 900 stores worldwide, and will use Lectra Fashion PLM as a collaborative platform for all of its teams involved in the design-to-sourcing process. They will be able to communicate and share accurate information in real time, enabling them to speed their decision-making process. As a result, fabric waste, overlapping tasks and errors, and time to market should be dramatically reduced.

"OVS's history and climb to success show that it is an ambitious and forward-looking company," says Céline Choussy Bedouet, chief marketing and communications officer, Lectra. "We are excited to embark on this PLM journey with them."

Lectra unveiled the newest version of its PLM software last year. Lectra Fashion PLM V5 was developed to provide greater visibility over fabric and product cost management processes, and guide companies towards making the right calls prior to production.
