UK fashion brand Ted Baker has successfully rolled out the second phase of its product lifecycle management (PLM) project, extending it to its women's wear team. 

The company, which operates 110 stores and 252 concessions in 24 countries, adopted Centric 8 PLM for its men's wear product development in July last year. A few months later, Ted Baker extended use of Centric PLM to its women's wear team for the development of its products. 

All of the information for a style, from concept through to bulk approval is entered and viewed on Centric 8 PLM. In addition, the design, garment technology, buying and production teams can all access the same product information. Additional production and buying users will follow over the next few months. 

Flis Leverton, head of production systems at Ted Baker, said the deployment strategy means the company's men's wear team our menswear team, which were early adopters of the system, can share their experience and help support the women's wear teams.
