Taking a look at the week ahead for the footwear and apparel industry, here is news editor Joe Ayling's snapshot of just-style's latest news and insights agenda.
US retailers will be announcing their October sales results on Thursday (4 November). It will be the first time for a few months that clothing chains won't be boosted by back-to-school purchases.
While there is a chance that shoppers will hold their breath ahead of the holiday season, continued growth against weak 2009 comparables is likely.
just-style will be attending two UK events in the UK this week, organised by The Textile Institute and Dassault Systèmes respectively.
Tomorrow (3 November) marks the first day of The Textile Institute Centenary Conference in Manchester. Speakers at the event include Ashroff Omar, CEO of Brandix Lanka, and Andy Rubin, CEO of Pentland Group.
just-style will bring you the must-know messages from this year's event, with professor Xiao-ming Tao, head of Institute of Textiles and Clothing, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, also a keynote speaker.
Meanwhile, Dassault has scheduled a briefing in London this Thursday (4 November) to discuss Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), together with the apparel industry's use of 3D PLM technology.
