The all-new BlueCherry Infinity business system launched today (16 September) promises to “raise the bar for enterprise software” according to its developer Computer Generated Solutions Inc (CGS).
The result of a three-year long research and development effort, the completely redesigned system significantly advances the capabilities and benefits of the company’s award-winning flagship product.
In particular, it leverages the latest in Microsoft technology to extend system capabilities and enhance user experience, as well as reducing the cost of ownership.
“We see BlueCherry Infinity as one of the most significant innovations in our 25-year history,” said Phil Friedman, president and CEO of CGS at a special launch event held at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in Manhattan.
“While many companies have cut their R&D budgets in this challenging environment, we have invested heavily to enhance our products.”
BlueCherry Infinity has been redesigned from the ground-up around a new, more robust and scalable system architecture.
Key features are said to include:
- A more comprehensive, industry-specific and modular solution including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Supply Chain Management (SCM) and Shop Floor Control (SFC);
- Superior user experience with innovative search and data retrieval tools to improve user acceptance and productivity;
- Low cost of ownership;
- Multi-tier architecture to scale to any size business;
- The latest technology to deliver a secure, scalable, graphically-rich user experience.
The new software is now available for general delivery in either on-premise or hosted software-as-a-service (SaaS) configurations.
