Compliance and testing management are among the key features included in New Generation Computing’s (NGC) latest PLM and global sourcing software.
The e-PLM and e-SPS software tools are also said to improve collaboration by using web capabilities to share work throughout the global supply chain.
CPSIA (Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act) compliance testing software is available as an optional module or as a standalone product.
It allows retailers and manufacturers to manage the process of requesting, tracking, approving and sending the General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) and Certificate of Compliance (COC) documents that are mandated by the CPSIA.
The software also allows companies to manage the dozens of third-party lab tests that are required for apparel design and production.
Support for the 10+2 Importer Security Filing (ISF) requirements is also incorporated throughout e-PLM and e-SPS 2009.
Companies can collect, maintain and manage information needed for 10+2 ISF filings; electronically share the information with the agent that is filing the ISF; issue alerts throughout the supply chain; and notify import managers with the 10+2 details of each shipment.
Enhanced web capabilities also make it easier to work from remote offices, with new features including the ability to do full style builds on the web in e-PLM.
The software includes enhancements to the fit, spec and sampling process that allow multiple sizes and size classes per sampling.
It also features the ability to maintain colour and grade rule tables as well as label and packing instructions over the web.
