Branded apparel maker VF Corporation has selected Dassault Systemès’ Enovia V6 PLM solution as its online platform for global apparel development and sourcing.

The software will be used by VF for collaboration on design, development, sourcing and production across a multi-brand portfolio that includes Wrangler, The North Face, Lee, Vans and Nautica.

It will also accommodate the apparel firm’s global presence and growth plans.

“We target technology investments in strategic areas and Product Lifestyle Management is one of our key focus areas,” said Chris Hobson, vice president of business systems for VF Corporation.

V6 PLM can be configured to the needs of each of VF’s brands and business models, with benefits said to include fewer processes to manage data, faster collaboration, and reduced material costs and development times.

“At a time when many organisations are cutting back their IT investments, companies like VF are recognising the opportunity to invest in solutions that can help drive profitable growth through collaborative product innovation and cost-effective sourcing,” said Mich Tellier, Enovia CEO.
