Luxury brand Louis Vuitton has invested in a new product lifecycle management (PLM) solution in a bid to support its global activity.

The company has selected Centric 8 PLM suite, including Centric's mobile apps, to help boost time to market.

According to Louis Vuitton, Centric's knowledge of the luxury industry, as well as the innovative solutions provided by its PLM technology, were key factors in the company's decision.

"We chose to work with Centric Software because we share the same vision. We both have a passion for innovation," says Franck Le Moal, CIO of Louis Vuitton.

Based in Silicon Valley and with offices around the world, Centric Software builds technologies for the most prestigious names in fashion, retail, footwear, luxury, outdoor and consumer goods. Its flagship PLM platform, Centric 8, delivers enterprise-class merchandise planning, product development, sourcing, business planning, quality and collection management functionality tailored for fast-moving consumer industries.

The company recently signed its first Australian customer, global online marketplace Redbubble, and its 22nd customer in China, Chinese menswear brand Cabbeen.
