Spanish fashion business Desigual has invested in a new product lifecycle management (PLM) solution to help increase collaboration and agility throughout its entire product development process, from planning to collection.

The company has selected Centric Software's PLM solution to close the gap with its customers, improving product design and modifications inspired by market feedback. 

The move to adopt PLM will also enable the group to have greater product traceability, visibility and flexibility. It will use Centric PLM to improve order accuracy by reducing errors and data entry duplicates, as well as saving time spent looking for information in archives and documents. This will enable the company to focus on creative and development tasks as well as collaboration between in house departments and their suppliers, it said. 

"Consumer satisfaction is our ultimate goal," Desigual explains. "By implementing Centric PLM, we are pushing one step further our customer oriented business model. Adding flexibility to our product lifecycle will allow us to more quickly adjust our products to consumer demands."
Desigual was founded in Barcelona in 1984. It employs around 5,000 staff and has a presence in over 100 countries through 16 sales channels and over 500 of its own stores. It also operates 23 of its own online stores and eight product categories: women, men, kids, accessories, shoes, living, sport and beauty.
