Full-service footwear and apparel manufacturer Otabo has implemented a new Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solution to help manage its growth.

Headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with over 40 years of industry experience, Otabo has a distribution and supplier network spanning six continents. Otabo mainly works with emerging and mid-size brands, cultivating a people-centered ‘collaborative manufacturing’ approach that builds equitable supply chain relationships to deliver optimal results.

Otabo is growing rapidly, and needed a platform to manage communications, product ideation, development iterations and client partnerships. It has selected Centric SMB, Centric Software’s cloud-based SaaS PLM solution for emerging enterprises.

“We’ve always been digital-first, and the Covid-19 pandemic reinforced the importance of a PLM for increasing speed, automating repetitive tasks and continuing to build our reputation as an adaptable partner. Of course, it will also lower costs and reduce waste,” says Rocky Finlay, chief growth officer at Otabo. “We wanted a structured platform that is extensible, scalable and available for our partners.

“We’re looking to Centric to continue to power our growth and excellence. That means happier, healthier, high-achieving employees working with clients to bring their creative dreams to life in a way that’s powerful, intelligent and engaged. Many of our clients are very digitally-focused, and Centric SMB will help us to bring them deeper integration, a more competitive supply chain and a more adaptable approach to management, product development and production.”
