Transformers Foundation has become one of three new members of the ZDHC Roadmap to Zero Programme.

The non-profit entity recently transitioned from denim conference Kingpins Transformers, focused on actively addressing and facilitating change in key areas of the denim supply chain. Its main mission is to “move the needle” on sustainable performance through: open sharing of best practices, encouraging, giving visibility and supporting sustainable progress, challenging unclear, non solid marketing or claims, transparently celebrating best in class and innovation.

By joining the ZDHC programme as an associate, the Foundation is committing to the vision of widespread implementation of sustainable chemistry in the textile, apparel and footwear industries.

In addition to Transformers, chemical manufacturers BASF South East Asia Pte. Ltd and Setas Kimya Sanayi AS have joined the chemical industry contributor category. The organisations will “help and support the ZDHC community and to achieve our mission”.

BASF South East Asia creates “chemistry for a sustainable future”. Parent company BASF Group works across nearly all sectors and almost every country in the world.

Setas, meanwhile, is a dyestuff and chemical manufacturer company for the textile industry. In addition, its product range expanded to include special effects for the paper, plastic, and metal industry.
