A free virtual event is taking place on Tuesday (28 September) to help apparel and footwear manufacturers gain insights into what is happening with RFID in retail and how they can benefit from working with retail partners to track individual items through the supply chain.

It will also address some of the practical issues that many apparel and footwear manufacturers have questions about, such as how to tag, where to tag, and how to integrate RFID data with their existing back-end systems.

The event, organised by RFID Journal, runs from 11 am to 1:30 pm EDT, and includes sessions on ‘Choosing Tags and Protecting Customer Privacy’; ‘RFID Source-Tagging Options’; ‘Encoding Serialized Data in RFID Apparel Tags and Labels’; and ‘RFID Software and Systems Integration.’ A final session looks at ‘The Business Case for RFID in Retail Apparel.’
