UK apparel sourcing event Fashion SVP returns to London’s Olympia this week with topics including sustainability in the denim sector and improvement on supplier lead times set to be explored.

The Sourcing Briefing seminars will focus on a range of industry issues across the buying spectrum; from a focus on denim to sustainability and the changing nature of buying and sourcing, to the history and future of denim and the resurgence of craft denim making. Speakers will also update visitors on collaboration, best working practices, improving lead times and supporting the sustainability agenda.

For burgeoning brands, designers and fashion entrepreneurs wishing to grow and move to the next level the Fashion Station provides essential information, practical advice and insight from the best in the industry on issues such as funding, sustainability, branding and legal issues.

Speakers at the sourcing briefing seminar include Mohsin Sajid, creative director, Endrime; Jo Byrne, head of buying, New Look; and Julia Redman, head of buying, M&Co.

Fashion SVP features over 120 global suppliers, chosen for their production expertise, and covers all aspects of apparel buying and production.

At the end of last year, Fashion SVP announced a collaboration with Common Objective (CO) – an online business network that connects brands with ethical suppliers, buyers and experts. Ahead of the show, all Fashion SVP suppliers will be able to set up an online profile and showcase their sustainability credentials. Buyers visiting the show then have a free tool to help them quickly identify suitable manufacturers and understand more about their sustainability efforts. Buyers can also subsequently create a free profile for themselves so that CO can deliver personalised sustainability solutions through matching them with content, and other fashion professionals.
