The twelfth edition the Bangladesh Denim Expo, which had been due to take place next month, has been cancelled on the back of health and travel concerns linked to the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak.
The announcement was made via the organiser’s Facebook page which read: “Given the severity of concerns regarding the virus globally and our wish to protect the well-being of our staff, visitors and exhibitors, it is with the deepest regret we will be postponing the forthcoming 12th edition of Bangladesh Denim Expo, scheduled for 6-7 April.”
The event is still planned to go ahead at a later date.
It is the latest in a string of exhibitions to be cancelled or pushed back due to the outbreak.
Yesterday (12 March), organisers of the Make it British sourcing show announced they would be postponing the event, which had been due to take place next week. They will instead run a virtual event in May.
