Los Angeles based apparel manufacturer FAM Brands has acquired contemporary women’s apparel label Wildfox.

As part of the deal, FAM Brands has assumed design, production, and manufacturing and intends to partner with the existing Wildfox factory base to continue the business with as little disruption as possible.

Founded in 2008, Wildfox’s vintage-inspired collections include a full range of tops, bottoms, dresses, intimates, outerwear, swimwear, and sunglasses. The line is available in luxury department stores such as Bloomingdales and Nordstrom, specialty boutiques and online accounts including Revolve and Shopbop.

In addition, the brand has a broad international presence in retailers such as Selfridges and Harrods, as well as boutiques throughout Europe, Canada, Australia, and Asia.

While financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, FAM Brands says it is making a “significant” financial investment in the brand, coming not only from the initial acquisition but also from design expansion and infrastructure improvements.

CEO Frank Zarabi adds “Wildfox provides a perfect base for even further category extensions.”
