Quotas and beyond: a look ahead
In just 14 months' time the movement of textile and clothing products anywhere in the world will be free from quotas. But will consumers benefit from better quality and better prices? Will retailers be able to work and trade freely with an exporter of choice? Or will it herald massive shifts in global sourcing patterns towards one region which will virtually dominate the global supply of textiles and clothing? Rohit Kuthiala shares his thoughts.
