The joint initiative is set to further the commercial presence and widespread use of environmentally responsible materials, propelling the fashion industry closer towards embracing a circular economic model.

Los Angeles-based Ambercycle has been at the forefront of developing sustainable solutions for the textile industry with its proprietary cycora, a regenerated polyester fibre derived from end-of-life textiles.

The company’s molecular regeneration technology allows for the creation of high-quality, sustainable polyester fibres that serve as an eco-friendly alternative to virgin materials.

Huilong chairman Shen Shunhua said: “As a company with over two decades of expertise in sustainable materials, we are excited to partner with Ambercycle to bring innovative circular solutions to market. This collaboration represents a significant step in driving industry-wide change toward greener and more sustainable textile production.”

Ambercycle says that the alliance with Huilong is rooted in a mutual dedication to scaling up eco-efficient innovations.

Huilong specialises in dope dyed polyester yarn manufacturing and is said to be at the forefront of smart manufacturing processes. The dope dyed polyester yarn is notable for its reduced environmental footprint during the dyeing phase.

The company is now broadening its sustainability efforts by incorporating advanced recycled materials into its product range.

Ambercycle co-founder and CEO Shay Sethi said: “Working with Huilong will allow us to significantly expand our impact, enabling us to meet the growing demand for circular materials in the global fashion industry. Together, we are building the future of sustainable fashion.”

In January this year, AmberCycle established strategic partnerships with global polyester manufacturer Shenghong and sustainable development solutions firm Benma Group to expand its circular textile solutions in China.
