Outdoor is an international trade fair in the textile and apparel industry. Its next edition is set to take place on 17-18 May 2026 at Riva del Garda, Italy.
According to the EOG, Outdoor 2026 will become an integral part of a new initiative called ‘European Outdoor Week’. The broader programme encompasses the Outdoor Impact Summit, an EOG Assembly, an awards event, networking opportunities, and a festival designed for both trade and consumer spectators.

The EOG intends to release comprehensive details about Outdoor 2026 and the other events comprising the European Outdoor Week by the end of next month.
EOG director Christian Schneidermeier said: “The EOG has long been the voice of the outdoor sector and one of our core roles is to deliver a vibrant platform that supports collaboration that in turn facilitates profitable, responsible business.
“Hosting a major international trade show has been at the heart of that work for many years and when we paused Outdoor this year, we made it clear that the show would return.”
In February this year, the EOG and trade show organiser, Messe München, had jointly resolved to refrain from hosting Outdoor 2025 as a standalone event amid registration challenges.
The EOG reaffirmed its commitment to staging a trade show for the European outdoor industry with a new approach for 2026 when it paused the event.
The association is preparing for next year’s event by extensively collaborating with board members, its executive team, external stakeholders and partners.
The return of Outdoor will see alignment with the regional show Outdoor and Running Business Days (ORBD).
This includes shared infrastructure and joint marketing efforts. Further, the association is said to be closely working with MagNet Srl SB, which owns and organises ORBD.
“We’ve worked hard during this year to develop a concept that enables our sector to join together in a place that really speaks to why we all love the outdoors. Riva del Garda clearly achieves that, but this alone is not enough.
“Each event during the week has to be compelling in its own right and we have created a line-up that we believe delivers that, but we’ve gone further. Our new family of events will complement and support each other and appeal to a much broader audience than they do individually,” Schneidermeier added.
