It follows the appointment of Jon Rolls as commercial and operations director, which M&S announced last week.

John Lyttle, managing director of Fashion, Home & Beauty, commented:

At the end of last month, M&S unveiled its first clothing resale venture by teaming up with e-commerce marketplace eBay, with aims to prolong the wearability of M&S products while addressing textile waste by rehoming quality used items.

And it announced a one-year quality guarantee on all its children’s clothing, excluding footwear and accessories. The guarantee is part of M&S’s Another Life initiative, which is aligned with the company’s Plan A sustainability strategy. It emphasises circularity through Rewear, Repair, Recycle, and Resale. The Rewear component aims to assure customers of product durability.
