By launching the Supply Chain Resiliency Hub, the MOU aims to create a national resource for US manufacturers seeking to improve how they identify suppliers, manage risk, and build robust supply networks.

Under this collaboration, the Supply Chain Resiliency Hub will integrate the CONNEX Marketplace, an online platform operated by i5 Services, with the University’s academic expertise and student involvement.

The hub will support manufacturers across the country and various sectors interested in enhancing local sourcing, reshoring production, and improving supply chain strategies.

The planned timeline will see the hub open within two months, with pilot assessments launching soon after.

A full rollout for manufacturers seeking access to the hub’s digital tools, supplier databases, and resiliency services is scheduled for the hub’s fourth month.

University of New Haven president Jens Frederiksen said: “The Supply Chain Resiliency Hub will help prepare the next generation of supply chain and logistics professionals while delivering tangible value to the industries that drive the US economy.

“This hub is exactly the kind of industry-academic collaboration that allows our students to work on real challenges while giving manufacturers the expertise and tools to build more resilient operations. We are thrilled to partner with i5 Services to make this vision a reality.”

The partnership will also create opportunities for University of New Haven students to participate in industry-related internships, applied research, and practical projects. These experiences are intended to bridge academic learning with the needs of manufacturing businesses, meeting The Elevation Centre’s aim to better connect education and industry.

i5 Services’ president Alan Davis added: “Our partnership with the University of New Haven gives us a powerful on-the-ground presence to deliver real solutions — combining CONNEX Marketplace’s technology with world-class academic talent to help manufacturers discover suppliers, reduce risk, and compete more effectively.”

The three-year MOU also outlines plans for commissions on manufacturer referrals and consulting work through the hub, as well as joint efforts to pursue research funding and professional development around manufacturing and supply chain resilience.
