Sam Wright, chief customer and commercial officer at The Very Group, said: “We know hard-working families are continuing to feel the pressure on everyday costs, from energy to travel, so supporting them to manage household budgets remains a priority for us.
“We’re focused on offering great quality essentials at prices people can rely on, helping customers feel confident as they prepare for the new school year.
“As children grow or change schools, replacing uniforms can quickly add up. That’s why we’re committed to offering durable, good-value pieces that are made to last, helping families spread the cost without compromising on quality.
“With our current offers and price commitment in place for the new school year, customers can shop early knowing they’re getting dependable value when it matters most.”
The move echoes similar efforts from retailers, including Primark, which has in the past committed to lower prices on kids essentials.
And last year, M&S announced it would reduce the prices of over 100 kidswear products by up to 20% in a bid to offer unwavering value and maintain competitive pricing on pivotal merchandise, adding it would not compromise on its quality or high sourcing standards.
