Under the partnership, sellers on Vinted will be able to drop off parcels at DHL Packstations without prior registration, and buyers will have the option to collect purchased items at any hour.
DHL stated that the network, which includes Packstations, Poststations and DeinFach lockers, will grow from the current 18,500 sites to more than 30,000 nationwide by 2030, reflecting a strategic push to support Germany’s growing recommerce sector.

A central feature of the expanded partnership is locker-to-locker shipping, a service expected to become more widely used on Vinted’s platform.
DHL will facilitate simplified parcel collection by sending access codes via email, with plans to integrate these codes directly into Vinted’s app for added user convenience.
DHL Germany sales and products, post and parcel head Benjamin Rasch said: “Reselling used goods online has evolved from a niche activity to an everyday phenomenon within just a few years. As a result, expectations regarding shipping are rising.
“People buying and selling privately want shipping to involve as little effort as possible. It should be just as easy as purchasing from an online store. Many people want to send or collect parcels independently of opening hours. This is exactly why automated solutions such as Packstations are becoming increasingly important. That is also why we will continue to invest heavily in expanding our automated network in the years ahead.”
Vinted, which operates one of Europe’s largest marketplaces for pre-owned goods, is leveraging DHL’s nationwide reach to meet consumer demand for flexible, reliable shipping.
Vinted Go business development and operations senior director Dovile Riskute said the partnership enables users to “send and receive parcels with maximum flexibility,” which is crucial to the company’s growth ambitions in Germany.
The collaboration will see a significant increase in the use of DHL’s automated parcel lockers, aiming to make shipping and collecting pre-owned goods more convenient for private sellers and buyers.
According to DHL’s latest E-Commerce Trends Report, 70% of people selling online in Germany choose parcel shops or lockers for shipping, while just 30% prefer in-person transactions.
The report also found that 67% of German online shoppers have sold items through online marketplaces, underlining the country’s status as a leading peer-to-peer sales market in Europe.
Beyond convenience, sustainability also plays a role in the expanded cooperation. DHL noted it operates over 38,500 electric delivery vehicles in Germany, supporting more environmentally friendly parcel delivery as pre-owned goods circulate through the company’s logistics network.
The second-hand market continues to attract more Germans trading items ranging from clothing to electronics, driving demand for reliable, round-the-clock shipping solutions.
