Archroma said that the collaboration is grounded in a “shared commitment” to more sustainable manufacturing practices within the textile sector.
Archroma super systems denim director Jordi Calucho said: “An innovation only matters once it reaches the market, and that takes a partner who will help shape it, test it and run it at scale. Prosperity Textile brings that partnership, and together we want to give denim brands and consumers the look and lasting performance they crave, made in more sustainable ways.”
Prosperity Textile, a supplier to global apparel brands and retailers, operates manufacturing sites in China and Vietnam with an annual production capacity nearing 100 million yards.
The company also maintains research and development operations in Belgium, Italy, and China.
Prosperity Textile has previously demonstrated a commitment to sustainable practices and was the first denim producer in China to join the bluesign system for responsible textile manufacturing.
Prosperity Textile director Stafford Lau said: “After 25 years in denim, we know what it takes to turn a good idea into a great fabric. Our smart factory infrastructure lets us develop and test new ideas quickly and take the best of them into production. We look forward to exploring what’s possible with Archroma, from classic to creative.”
