Athletic wear provider Saucony is launching a new high-tech range of technical apparel claimed to boost performance and aid recovery.
Amp Pro2, the US company claims, combines the benefits of compression wear with a responsive fibre which can improve oxygenated blood flow by up to 32% more than compression alone.
The Amp Pro2 collection, including Amp Pro2 Training and Amp Pro2 Recovery, uses Celliant, a fibre which the company says absorbs energy emitted by the body, then recycles it back through the skin, making circulation more efficient.
“By combining the acknowledged benefits of compression with fibres that respond to the body, Amp Pro2 gives athletes a performance advantage, allowing them to train harder, push further and recover quicker,” said Saucony president Richie Woodworth.
The Training and Recovery collections both feature Microban antimicrobial technology, and will be available in men’s and women’s sizes.
Amp Pro2 will be available from 15 July at speciality retailers across the US.
