UK: Monsoon’s Overseas Business Outshines UK Trade

Women's and children's wear retailer Monsoon reported its results today, with its overseas business overshadowing 'challenging' UK trade. UK operating profits fell slightly on increased turnover of 11 per cent including a like-for-like sales increase of two per cent. International profits increased by 131 per cent to £1.435m following the expansion of overseas franchise operations. Like-for-like sales overseas were up 11 per cent and total in-store sales increased 36 per cent.
