US fashion group Tailored Brands is upgrading the Made-in-America custom clothing programmes at its Men’s Wearhouse and Jos A Bank subsidiaries by narrowing the delivery time from four weeks to three.
Growing consumer demand for personalisation in mens’ tailored goods drove more than $100m of custom clothing sales for Tailored Brands in fiscal 2017 – making the company one of the largest and fastest growing custom clothing retailers for men.
“Our brands have a distinct competitive advantage in that we can deliver beautifully constructed custom suits to our customers faster through our Made-in-America manufacturing process,” says CEO Doug Ewert.
The new delivery timeframe applies to premium custom suits.
At Men’s Wearhouse, the Joseph Abboud custom line offers over 150 fabric choices from Italian mills and can be ordered in various silhouettes and styles. Customers can select from a variety of authentic custom details such as working button holes, pick stitching, lining, and thread colour. Joseph Abboud tailored clothing has been made in the US for the last 30 years at its facility in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
At Jos A Bank, the Reserve custom line offers over 120 fabric choices and customers can personalise their suits, sport coats, dress trousers, vests, tuxedos, and dinner jackets with various fits ranging from slim, tailored and traditional.
