NORWAY: Gap Shuts Up Shop In Norway
Gap, which set up shop in Norway just one year ago, has closed all four of its stores, said Norwegian daily Dagens Næringsliv.Bad management by Gap's Norwegian agents, Norwegian Retail Consepts (sic), was cited by a representative of French company Solska, which owns the rights to the Gap brand in Scandinavia and Benelux.Norwegian Retail Consepts went bust in June this year and took the Gap stores down with it. Solska still thinks that there is a market for Gap in Norway and is looking to find a new agent to replace bankrupt NRC.
