Organic cotton, a trend that seemed to have surged and painfully crashed in the 90s, is making a comeback with the support of global apparel megabrands and their supply chains. Although apparel companies are unlikely to decide to go organic on the precariousness of a greenwashing whim, the realities associated with the production of conventional cotton are starting to chafe, and, once acknowledged, are difficult to ignore.
