Called CYCLANON XC-W e, Archroma’s trio-polymer washing-off auxiliary is designed to address the limitations of traditional polyacrylate or copolymer agents.
These agents often struggle with the removal of unfixed dyes from fabrics, particularly when there is residual salt from the dye bath or in areas with hard water.
This can necessitate extensive rinsing and multiple wash cycles, potentially leading to quality issues such as backstaining or uneven shade development.
Archroma claims that its CYCLANON XC-W e offers high performance, productivity enhancement, and savings in water and energy consumption without compromising much on costs compared to existing polymer-based alternatives.
It also minimises the substantivity of unfixed dye for the fibre, which leads to more effective dye removal. This reduces backstaining and improves colour fastness even for deep shades.
Benefits of Archroma’s washing-off auxiliary
- Reduces process time by up to 15%
- Cuts water consumption during the washing-off phase by up to 20%
- Slashes CO2 emissions by up to 20% due to lower energy usage
- Up to 20% cutback in chemical usage
These efficiencies also result in increased productivity, says the company.
