Helen Ashton, chief financial officer of UK-based online fashion retailer Asos, is to leave the company.
In an announcement today (2 March), Asos said its board has been informed by Ashton of her desire to move on from her current role.
She will step down and retire from the board on 30 April but will remain in employment until 31 August in order to ensure an orderly handover.
“The board expresses its appreciation for the contribution that Helen has made to the group during her tenure and wishes her all the very best in the next stage of her career,” Asos said in a statement.
Nick Beighton, CEO and previously CFO of the company, will cover Ashton’s role until her replacement is identified.
Earlier this year, Asos reported it had benefited from investment in technology and its ‘try before you buy’ offer to deliver a 30% increase in sales in the final months of 2017.
