AUSTRALIA: Tamar Looms Auctioned Off
Equipment from Tamar Knitting Mills in northern Tasmania was auctioned on 29 May 2001. The looms and equipment were sold as 350 items after efforts to sell the business as a going concern were unsuccessful. The auction was attended by 200 buyers. Liquidator, Steven Hernyk, said the equipment was purchased mainly by small textiles manufacturers seeking to expand.
