BARBADOS: Gildan Activewear Closes Plant Over Drugs Find
Canadian apparel manufacturer, Gildan Activewear, has today confirmed that it has closed one of its sewing plants in Barbados following the discovery of a significant amount of marijuana in a shipment bound for the US. Gildan, one of the largest t-shirt manufacturers in the world, announced the closure of the plant following an investigation into the drugs, which revealed that the drugs were likely to have been planted in the container after it had left the Gildan plant and possibly after it had left Barbados.
