Apparel company Bravada International has chosen Calgary as the location for the Canadian headquarters of its Bravada Women’s Athletica retail chain.

The company said the location would help it to establish itself on the Canadian market, grow its online business and streamline logistics operations.

It is also hoping to open its first Bravada Women’s Athletica store in Calgary before Christmas.

Bravada said the new HQ would set the stage for growth in corporate and franchise terms, and was particularly apt given that company CEO Danny Alex grew up in the city.
