The transaction between Centric Brands and Fownes Brothers covers operations, assets, and intellectual property related to the design, development, sourcing, production, sales, and distribution of current product lines in the cold-weather accessories segment.
The acquisition will enable Centric Brands to take over key licenses, such as Ugg, Timberland, and Cole Haan, along with private label manufacturing agreements with The North Face and lululemon.

“By integrating the Fownes Brothers business into our accessories platform, we are expanding our capabilities, accelerating scale, and positioning the business for sustained, profitable growth.”
As part of the deal, Andrew Gluckman will join Centric Brands as senior vice president and division head for Cold-Weather.
He will be tasked with managing the acquired licences and supporting the broader division’s growth.

Established in 1777 in Worcester, England as a leather glove manufacturer, Fownes Brothers has operated as an importer and distributor of licensed and private label cold-weather accessories for several generations under the ownership of Tom Gluckman and his family.
Last month, Centric Brands acquired Vingino, a Netherlands-based multi-category denim brand catering to all age groups.
