CHINA: Industry Aims For 8 Per Cent Growth In 2002
Draft targets for China's textile industry in 2002 aim for growth of 8 per cent, US$55 billion in export, 25 billion yuan (US$3.04 billion) in profits, 8.80 million tons of synthetic fibre, and 7 million tons of yarn. The proposals appear in an Outline Program for Regulating the Economic Operation in 2002 drawn up by the State Economic and Trade Commission.
