CHINA: Silk Alley Flourishes Despite Counterfeit Crackdown
China's famous Silk Alley Market, the Xiushuijie, a mecca for foreign tourists, has survived, despite a crackdown on counterfeit brands. The Municipal Industrial and Commercial Administration of Beijing barred sales of fake-brand clothes on May 10, but sellers say they have enough other stock to carry on without the counterfeit brands.
