Down supplier and processor Allied Feather & Down has announced luxury alpine sportswear brand Alps & Meters as the 100th partner brand to join its proprietary TrackMyDown.com education and supply-chain transparency tool.
Allied Feather & Down helped create the globally recognised Responsible Down Standard (RDS) within its supply chain in collaboration with The North Face, and gifted it to Textile Exchange in 2014. It has since focused on education around sustainable down and the global supply chain, launching TrackMyDown in autumn 2015 with five partner brands: Peak Performance, Feathered Friends, Montane, Daniadown and Merrell.

Combine business intelligence and editorial excellence to reach engaged professionals across 36 leading media platforms.
Companies across the outdoor, lifestyle, fashion and bedding industries now use the tool, along with several major online retailers, and many are beginning to integrate the revamped traceability and education platform on their own consumer-facing websites.
“We knew it was necessary to develop a tool that would engage the potential purchaser of a down product to help them make more informed decisions,” says Daniel Uretsky, president of Allied Feather & Down. “As we continue to be at the forefront of global issues such as Palm Oil Free Certification and reduction of microplastics in the environment, we applaud all of our partner brands and others working to make a difference in the apparel and bedding industries.”
Alps & Meters says joining the TrackMyDown programme “will further Alps & Meters’ central purpose to uphold and ensure the long-term sustainability of the traditions we hold dear.”
