UK apparel sourcing show Fashion SVP will return to London this summer with a new area specifically designated for luxury and small run suppliers.
The new section aims to cater for buyers with small minimum orders and will include suppliers such as Chinese knitwear specialist M & L Guangzhou Textile & Garment Co; Danish leather clothing supplier Texpro; Turkish shirt manufacturer Erten; and Chinese apparel cashmere specialist Dong Guan Derong.
“There has always been a wide variety of brands and retailers who visit Fashion SVP, and they all have a really wide range of requirements. In the past, it has sometimes been tricky for visitors to immediately identify the sort of factories that would be a natural fit for them, either in terms of their minimum quantity per colour style requirements, but also in terms of the quality of manufacturing finish that individual visitors may be looking for,” event organisers explain. “For example, a high-end designer brand will have a very different pattern of requirements than a major high street volume retailer.
“In an effort to make time spent at Fashion SVP more efficient and more effective for both visitors and exhibitors, and to try and eliminate the inevitable frustrations from having a great conversation with someone only to discover that they are unable to meet your quantity requirements – at either end of the spectrum – we have launched these new sectors to help guide visitors.”
Fashion SVP is aimed at brands and retailers who buy direct from factories and provides buyers with the opportunity to meet apparel manufacturers from 20 countries. It will feature over 120 global suppliers, chosen for their production expertise, and covers all aspects of apparel buying and production.
The next edition will take place on 25-26 June at London Olympia.
