UK apparel sourcing show Fashion SVP will return to London later this month with new workshops organised by manufacturer and training academy Fashion-Enter.
The Fashion-Enter Interactive Workshops will provide brands and retailers with practical demonstrations and advice for more junior staff members on the entire end-to-end manufacturing process from design to sampling to fabric and trim selection, to QC, final product and then on into production, delivery, logistics and stock management.
Discover B2B Marketing That Performs
Combine business intelligence and editorial excellence to reach engaged professionals across 36 leading media platforms.
It will also offer information about the apprenticeship levy tax break, which it has been reported that 80% of employers are not using.
Fashion-Enter is also offering a consultation corner where visitors will be able to discuss the training available at the Fashion Technology Academy, the apprenticeship programme, ‘The Factory Uncovered’ workshops for existing staff and the Tailoring Academy – all designed to help established brands and retailers continue the professional development of their own teams.
Meanwhile, for new and emerging brands, start-ups and designers, Fashion-Enter will be demonstrating pattern cutting and sewing on industrial machines.
Participants can bring in a sketch and get advice on how it could be translated into a commercial garment, while the team can also discuss costings, where to source fabric, trims and labels, how to find an ethical manufacturer, discuss courses, business support and the Fashion Studio for sampling.
