Two key business units of Fung Retailing Group have invested in a new product lifecycle management (PLM) solution as part of plans to digitalise their merchandise planning and design processes and share information seamlessly between Europe and Asia.

The companies – Trinity Limited and Branded Lifestyle Holdings – have selected Centric Software’s PLM solution to help improve communication and reduce time to market as they pursue the Group’s digital transformation goals.

Fung Retailing operates over 2,700 stores across ten economies with over 14,000 staff worldwide. Trinity is a premium menswear brand serving Greater China and Europe, managing five international menswear brands: Cerruti 1881, Kent & Curwen and Gieves & Hawkes. Branded Lifestyle focuses on mid-tier apparel and accessories including casual fashion brands Hang Ten, Roots, Arnold Palmer and the South Korean fast fashion brand H:Connect.

Carl Kwok, director of information technology at Fung Retailing Group, says the company has been pursuing “clear digital transformation goals” since 2016, including initiatives to digitalise and improve the efficiency of supply chain management across all retailing businesses.

As well as digitalising the merchandise planning and design process, “we will also digitally transform our system that tracks all information for garment production, making it scalable and allowing effective and efficient collaboration with external parties,” he adds.

The company plans to roll out the Centric PLM platform to all Trinity’s users in the first quarter of 2018.
