Gerber Technology has released a major update to Design Suite, the Adobe Illustrator Plug-in for its YuniquePLM product lifecycle management tool, to help users improve speed and connectivity to accelerate the creative process.
“Adobe Illustrator is a key tool for designers and product development teams,” says Clayton Parker, director PLM Product Management. “Our latest updates to the Adobe Plug-in and our new UI [user interface] are a combined element of continually responding to customer input to create an optimal user experience with YuniquePLM.”
Like other Gerber software applications, YuniquePLM includes an open philosophy leveraging APIs for integration with key applications in customers’ end-to-end processes.
Adobe is a key example, as Gerber was one of the first major PLM providers to offer its Adobe integrations through the Adobe Exchange App Marketplace. Having YuniquePLM’s Design Suite integrations in the marketplace helps ensure users are always up to date with the latest releases for both Mac and PC.
The latest update to Design Suite focuses on simplification and speed. Key features includes simplified drag and drop to add YuniquePLM images to an active artboard; faster access to multiple file types within the plug-in; and improved processing speed for large files and multiple artboards.
“We have developed a great partnership with Adobe and our rapid deployment model ensures we’re ready to incorporate new Adobe releases for seamless integration with YuniquePLM,” adds Parker.
