Honey Lady, a women’s intimate apparel brand, has increased its use of Tukatech’s apparel software systems to help boost the efficiency of its product development and production.

The company initially installed 40 TUKAcad licenses, including SMARTmark NetQ, a standalone system that requires no manual input and fully automates the marker-making process.

It has now added to this portfolio, investing in TUKAcutplan. The materials requirement planning system has allowed Honey Lady to plan the purchase, allocate materials and minimise waste.

“We had all possible technologies from grading/markers to spreading and cutting, but we were still making paper patterns,” explains Honey Lady director Ferdinand Permana. “We needed speed and accuracy. With Tukatech, we have eliminated manual paper pattern-making, increased productivity in our sample room, and reduced the lead time for sample-making.”

With headquarters in Hong Kong and three production facilities in Indonesia, the company is a supplier to intimate apparel brands and retailers across the globe.

“Tukatech systems and their engineering consulting helped us streamline the communication and coordination internally,” Permana adds. “The central data and information that is available to all CAD and non-CAD users in factories or planners and engineers is seamless, which is something we were not able to do with our previous system.”
